Sleeve tab of African troops or irregular arm rhombus of the French Liberation Army.
The arm patch has 3 braids to differentiate African troops from those in mainland France during boarding control, following the request of the occupation authorities on September 16, 1941.
This distinction has been kept since (publication in the Official Bulletin on July 17, 1942).
Wool: dark blue, black.
3 braids: daffodil, scarlet.
Number: white, daffodil.
